Raw 100 is a video series designed to highlight the talent and creativity of filmmakers. It’s said that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication, and this series celebrates that idea.
The rules for each video are simple: 100 seconds in length, no slow motion footage, and no music. By having to work within these limitations, filmmakers have to get creative and think outside the box.
In this Raw 100, Liam Mullany delivers a video featuring Bas van Steenbergen ripping through British Columbia that will leave you chomping at the bit to hit the trails.

The production and cinematography on this video is absolutely amazing!!
No drones on this one
+Sjoerd Redeker My god ur a genius, why didn’t i think of that?
Ive seen this before and as far as I can remember they did use drones as well as “ziplines” with cameras suspended from them like the ones used in soccer matches. But I could be wrong
maybe they use a sort of cable with a camera attached to it… A drone isnt as stable and it is probably too hard to fly through woods…
I was wondering likewise, how did they get all those fast panning and chase shots in such dense foliage. I have enough trouble doing the same in a bloody carpark.
If my ears didn’t fool me, he was driving chainless? Sounds ungodly!
And he seems to be really fucking strong, the way he pushes the bike. Great riding.
+shay rubino very good point!
Richard Smith is 100% correct. if he did not have a chain you would not hear the rear hub coasting. The dead give away is every time he gets airborne you can very clearly hear the hub pawls going past each other which means there is a chain holding the cassette in place. You may not be able to see it because he is going mach 27 but it is for sure there.
I just did, and I cannot find a frame where you can really see it …
Stryke he has a really good chain clutch that stops the chain from smashing around every where, pause the vid at around 0:33 you can see the chain
My prevost
Crazy cool sound editing. Partially shot with a drone, but you can only hear the bike tough
dont think it was a drone , prob a cable cam
The sound design is done after the fact. All post sound fx
mic is probably on the bike and they make the sound sound of it fade in and out in post fx
how to keep shooting the face ? it’s very amazing!!
is this like extreme sport ASMR?
where is this place?
lol you’re dumb af it says British Columbia in the video?
