gopro you need to develop a mechanism to stop gopros jolting forward upon impact, like in this vid.
Like a dampener or something?
A spring with some sort of a load sensitive mechanism that keeps it from actuating under regular small vibrations but allows the camera to move during large impacts and reset to proper position would keep the mount from tilting i’d bet.
this was a big drop but yeaaaaaaa
+DanVal I ski too. I’ve crashed at 70+ mph, and the camera didn’t move. Hit hard enough to crack the helmet. Tighten the bolt up.
*adds the word insane to make it sound more awesome than the other runs even though other runs were better* eg- semenuk’s
+Andrew Zegel
Semenuk had a highway.. Cam zink was true rampage.. Super steep jagged rocky tech
100% agree, Brandon’s run was definitely better. And so were many others.
+Spazamazz This event isn’t just about who can throw down the biggest tricks on wood features. It’s about who can use the natural terrain and ride with style not necessarily tricking it. For example Metailleur got a solid score of 80 without tricking anything really, while people like Ryan Howard and Kelly McGarry got scores in the 60’s even though they threw in some flips. Obviously to win you need to trick some features in your line but it also comes down to speed and technical riding.
+Spazamazz Why do you think this one wasn’t the best? that first drop was insane, and that backflip no-hander was pretty incredible as well.
+Kobey Ashi No shit kid. It’s Rampage – Freestyle mixed with slopestyle. That’s why it’s on the freeride world tour. Cause having wooden features and kickers is totally freeriding only and has nothing to do with slopestyle.
Judges scores were complete shit
+Spazamazz again
+Lucas Rodriguez Freeriding? You smoking the same shit the judges were? Brandon and Kurt both hit the same mountain, sent huge gaps, built their own lines. Brandon had more style than Kurt and incorporated more tricks while still sending it on technical riding up top followed by huge drops inbetween. Rampage is Freeride MIXED with slopestyle. It’s not a pure slopestyle and it’s not pure freeride. Hence the wooden features and ridge line at the start. Go through any article on pinkbike right now and you’ll actually learn some shit kid.
+Spazamazz either that, or you dont know much about FREERIDING instead of slopestyle…
Semenuk was better.
Semenuk had a highway paved.. Rampage is about gnarly step rocky tech.. Ie cam zink run.. That’s true free ride… Not just trick hucking
+Darla Baerg Forgive me for I have sinned
+Darla Baerg I meant freeride haha it corrected to freestyle I swear
+John 117 you pain me with what you have said.. maybe rethink that.
Semenuk rides slope, not freestyle. Completely different style
When will people understand that this is a freeride contest, where the line is more important than slopestyle tricks?? If not, they wouldn’t even bother to invite all those “dh background athletes”. This line was insane, very agressive, fluent and fast…Altough I have to admit that Cam Zink’s run was scored very low.
+Jeremiah Cole Well, Im in doubt if it was the craziest (that 360 though <3) but it was a podium run for sure...Anyways, this Rampage was sick: Riders were consistant and showed a tremedous variety of styles and approaches...And the fact that people are constantly discussing the judges decition is actually a good thing, because it just shows how many top contenders there were.
you have to admit? by your standards Zink should have won because that was the craziest line ever
defn not a winning run in my eyes. crazy for sure, but i feel like the judges just hate semenuk because he can trick stuff that no one else can and still make it look smooth
+Trevor Bohnsack I can respect that.
+Sam Clark not bitter! his run was nutzz! But , it did not encompass the entirety of what a full rampage run should consist of..Brandon knows this and he’ll be back with a vengeance for 2016 most likely for the win…I only speak the truth..
+Trevor Bohnsack You’re really bitter against Brandon homie…got a lotta responses on here lol.
Semi run was to smoothed out paved dirt.. No super steep ridonkulous jagged rock lines… You have to incorporate those lines.. That being said it was all zink for me
GoPro Fail 🙁
GoPro MOUNT fail haha.
High key this run didn’t deserve a 96.50
+Gentoes I guess.
+Dylan SJ Perez
Well you see Dylan, The run didn’t deserve the score it got in the majority opinion. The only people who agree the score was fair are fans of the rider who can’t see equality, all they care about is their rider winning. A common terminology for someone like that is a fanboy. got it?
+Gentoes How does that make him a fanboy???
+Captinprocat no it didn’t fanboy
Yes it did.
