UPDATE Sept18 @12:31am: Final Cut – fixed unreadable title graphic and added attitash dot com at end. also cleaned up credits.
UPDATE Sept15 @7:02pm: I cut out the guy adjusting the chain for better pacing.
I shot this during race weekend at Attitash in Bartlett, New Hampshire. I shot all the footage with a Sony EX1 and the Letus Extreme 35mm lens adapter. Lenses used: Nikon 24mm f2.8, 35mm f2, 50mm f1.4, 300mm f3.5, Sigma 18mm f3.5.
This video was shot to help promote the racing series and Attitash mountain as a destination for downhill riders from around New England.

Excellent footage and fantastic editing! I wish Virginia had more places to mountain bike. This place looks incredible.
Nice! I see you’re changing up your editing style.
Is is challenging to shoot the riding footage with the letus?
Also where did you find that version of that song? I’m a big fan of Clint Mansell.
awsome video tom, would be sweet to come out and ride their! -ep
another great stuff from you tom. I admire your work. this was great, but still – “lake people” is my vimeo’s no 1 and you of course, my number 1 vimeoan (lol)…
Thank you for sharing your work with us, and for inspiring us
Amazing video! I love the riding at Attitash.
Great vid! May I ask what lens that is at 2:03?
Sweet!
awesome video! your style has definitely changed.
as a novice mt biker this video made me want to grab my bike and get dirty. as a novice videographer (if i may call myself that) this video made me want to grab my camera and get shooting.
looks good tom, do you ever get tired of using the 35 adapter, or do you have that thing glued to your ex1?
really nice change of pace at 2:48 and on.
Excellent work Tom, really inspiring. Your other videos narration is so good that I have been showing them to my English Language students here in the Czech Republic. Hope you don’t mind that.
Nice work Tom. A good blend of effects and “real” footage to make one want to go biking. The characters were interesting to listen to. They represented the sport quite well.
Very interesting film, well shot and the edit was very good. Impressed that you use the Letus for the filming and I can relate to the difficulty in having fast moving subjects and very shallow depth of field, you managed it very well.
what is the song at 242 please reply
I worship your work!
Wow, powerful piece of art. I ride bikes (sometimes DH) and I also shot videos so I really enjoyed watching that. Thanks for sharing your work with us. By the way, take a look at our intro video for a bikepark in Andorra (Europe):
