Hi GMBN. Thank you for the video. I am completely new to cycling and have
been watching GCN for a month but found this video most helpful. As I learn
to ride a bike again, footpath and road are ok but I enjoy the short gravel

swimming and ballsports so was trying to figure out the tips for warming up

My fitness has nose dived since we have gone onto a 12 hour 223 shift
system at work where i was getting out 3 times a week is now only 1 i feel
knackerd all the time all i want to do when i get home is sit down im on my
feet for 11 hours a day on the go all the time and i supose my age dont
help any im 60 but i did manage to climb up sticks pass from patterdale to
where the path forks right up to raise had a little walk past the youth
hostel first though.through the zig zags then cracked on.

What helmet are you using in this video? I am looking for a new XC helmet
where I can mount my GoPro directly underneath the visor. (So, hanging from
the visor).

GoPro? Without being in front of eyes 🙂
there really aren’t many xc spefic helmets most xc riders seem to use
normal trail helemts

I think off-saddle exercises should be included as well specially those
that strengthen the core, enhance mobility and stabilize shoulders.
Obviously legs should also be considered.

ring this year and already purchased a backup and a new red one.

an optional thing, I have to pedal for about 10 minutes to get to my trails
