Whistler Bike Park Freeride – GoPro 4K with Trace
Freeriding the Whistler Bike Park with my buddy Zac. The mtb trails were in perfect condition! Hitting up all the best DH trails Whistler has.
We rode the best freeride dh trails, dirt merchant, a-line, schleyer, fade to black, ninja cougar. It was only 2 weeks since opening the bike park, so all the lower mountain trails were open and in perfect condition!
As you can see with the speed and elevation data, that was captured through my Trace device, they are really cool because they show all that information for my mountain bike videos! I was riding my orange Norco Truax at Whistler, and it was the first time to use the go pro hero 4 black edition, I thought it would be awesome to make a 4K gopro mountain bike video.
We just drove up for the day and had a great time riding the whistler mountain bike park!
I used a Trace device to capture all the speed and elevation data

For those who want to know my recording settings for this video:
GoPro Hero 4 Black
4K 30 fps
FOV: Wide
Protune on
Native white balance
‘flat’ color mode
exposure compensation: -1
sharpness: low
And yes I definitely color corrected the footage to make it look good like this
how did you make the graphics on the video
+JordanBoostmaster Crazy.. I would definitely hit a tree if it was me.. Early on.
+JordanBoostmaster what bike are you riding
+Blackhawk51806 well ya I do kind of agree, watching gopro in a higher framerate is maybe a bit nicer, even if your going to be seeing it in 30 fps anyway, the higher recorded frame rates will still give you a faster shutter speed in lower light, which I agree is a good thing
+Blackhawk51806 ya I know, I actually found watching it at 1440p seemed to be the best setting for now, it wasn’t so pixely, I think that is just something youtube will have to fix in the future with how they compress higher resolution videos
Damn, i just need to live near Whistler to be happy. That’s it. Best place to live, hands down.
Same broh…
I live near trestle park I’m pretty happy
+K.W.-Riders Whistler is my happy place
+Dédé LABINOUZE yeah i just need to live there too 😀
Your videos are so well done, you should be the most popular youtuber in the galaxy!
40kph? Thats like… 310mph. Come on. Thats not real. Top speed on a bike is like 170mph with the right tires and atmospheric conditions, not to mention a healthy dose of Nair. 😉 That is a pretty cool program though. Would be cool to see that in downhill race coverage.
+Nate Meyer people can go up to 80 on road
+FrostBite Pokin I’ve gone 60mph on a bike. Granted it was on the road though
+brian patrick you cant be serious lol
+brian patrick quit trolling brian lol
Top speed 170 mph??? Nah dude u gotta be joking man btw people can reach up to 50kmh on a bike
Sick vid!!!! How’d you get the elevation/speed/map side bars?
Awesome video, I’m always excited to see a new video!!
what is this annoying shit on the screen?
Where did u place the trace? On your helmet?
