Which bike should you choose? Is a difficult question. There are a tonne of variables affecting which bikes we all want and whether they’re actually suited to the riding that we do.
To try and solve the debate, on our local trails at least, we put three very different bikes head to head. Which one will win? Check out the video and find out.
Do you ride a hardtail or a full-susser? Let us know in the comments.

Is ghost kato fs7 good for enduro
Если был-бы хоть один затяжной подъём то хардтэйл бы выиграл.
where do you ride all these trails?
I have a merida big seven 500 hardtail. It’s a great bike overall but I
have a problem with it when I ride down on narrow, high slope, stony paths.
The seat is too high and the absence of the second suspension gives me hard
time. Where I usually ride my bike also has uphill, and straight tracks so
I wanna hear you guys opinion about if I should switch to a full susp. or
not?
I ride an aluminum frame, Gary Fisher/Trek X-Cal. It’s a 29’r and a hard
tail. I’ve been racing it for the past two years and riding it all across
Wisconsin and surrounding states during that time. I love it and hate it,
it provides great rolling momentum up hill with relative ease (compared to
my 10 year old Cannondale fs, 26’r) , but I hate going on fast down hills
with it, where as I can do it, I can’t keep up with my friends on fs, or
even hardtail 26’rs. I rode a friends 27.5 full suspension Santa Cruz the
other day and it was the best feeling I’ve ever had on a bike. Nimble and
easy to whip around corners but still flies up hills. I know what my next
bike is going to be.
The answer to this video of whats the ebest bike for the terrain was also
gary glitters same answer of wheres the best place to pick up kids: swings
and roundabouts really. please don’t sue me for libel :)
Love your videos – thanks for making them fun as well as informative!
Hi
These guys have no charisma talent on a show. Really disappointing coming
across from the gcn channel
@ 5:09 – A tribute to Mike Nesmith Hey, hey with the Monkeys and White Out.
I’m older (63) and live at about 6800 feet elevation (a bit over 2000
meters). I live in Utah and ride on rough climbs. I ride a full suspension.
Oddly, or maybe not, I feel I need the suspension more for the climbs than
for the descents. I usually run a high heart rate as a percentage of my
max, so if I can stay seated, it’s a huge advantage. If I have to get up
out of my seat for obstacles, my heart rate immediately spikes. No bueno!
Flip the stem right side up on the hard tail and give it a dropper seat
post. I bet it would be a strong contender.
Ewwwww 29er
You should post the weight of those bikes mate.
Only 1 run on each of these bikes to come to this sweeping
conclusion……come on!
I love my Giant hardtail. It’s good for my local terrain.
What should a total beginner choose if they don’t know if they are ready
for trailriding, but want to try, and at the same time have a bike for
leisurely rides around the lake? A 29er hardtail or FS?
no offence but why such a hard core xc bike,
i would of had the scott, a mid travel hardtail a long travel hardtail like
the new orange or my norco sasquatch, then a short mid and long travel full
sus
hardtail maybe faster with a better setup,
First, sorry with my english level, I’m trying to improve it!. I think this
comparative would be better if the rider was the same person!. The same
“attitudes” with different bikes.
Best Regards from Mallorca!.
is it hard to bunnyhop with a hardtail-bike?
I don’t believe.
I have a hard tail that is awesome on enything
I ride a hardtail. A 2015 Giant Talon 2
Hardtail Raleigh Tekoa Carbon, with 29er Kenda Honey Badgers
