weight savings for a beginner…..”carbon wheels, carbon handle bars,
carbon seatpost, carbon saddle rails…”
8.2 kg race bike, pretty light for a MTB
Poop before you ride.
Lose the dam tool kit. I know some guys carry wrenches and shock pumps with
them.
“…give us s big thumbs up down below…”
I just removed the spoke protector from my bike and reduced the weight by
2kg! Now I can climb hills without crawling and huck gap jumps like they
are potholes. I think I’m ready for a world cup sponsor. Thanks Trek
Mechanic, great tips!
You guys should do a pro mechanics tip on how to make your bike quieter
good advices exception made of beer
Yay, some XC goodness! :)
Different tires is the absolute first and cheapest way to lighten the bike.
Many stock tires are the cheaper, sport version of the same model that a
company makes a lightweight version of as well. You may assume that your
bike has the lightweight version of those tires, but weigh everything you
can and keep track. Different tires may cost you $100-200, but will make
your bike feel completely different. Lightweight clothing can help a little
too for overall weight. Picking lightweight shorts and a jersey that
breathe better and don’t absorb sweat as much makes more of a difference
than you may realize.
I can’t believe the guy from Trek would say something that useful.
Drink IPAs instead of double IPAs
Can’t forget the Carbon Spacers!
best weight saving I did on my xc bike was converted to a lefty fork, 1×10
set up and a few carbon bits
carbon fiber seatpost,frame,handlebar,stem,saddle,(carbon fiber
rim/tubeless rim)-to make your bike very light
cutting out beer saved many kgs on my bike and my life
I think the best tip is to remove the fat from our beer bellies. 80-70% of
the weight you carry is your own. =D
loose the muffin top/cake shelf!
It saves weight to remove your handlebars.
Great video!
A tip for beginners: changing your suspension fork may help to loose some
200-600 grams.
Ditch the wheels and levitate.
Anyone know what saddle that is on the right, right when he starts talking
with the guy from Ghost bikes?? I’d love to know!
Maybe guys at GMBN you would know since you interviewed him?
Hey everyone, I started a fundraising campaign for ‘Christmas present for
my mom’. Please tap to donate- http://m.gofund.me/project-help-mom
If I dropped 10kg it would help a lot
Going to the toilett, taking a good shitter will save you some 250 grams or
more. Hard to compete that with titanium bolts and stuff.
