MTB Crash – Downhill Mountain Bike wreck

Minutes later on my first run of the day I went over the handle bars unexpectedly and landed on my head and shoulder. I thought i was paralyzed as i couldn’t move and felt excruciating pain. You can see other riders jumping over me because i couldn’t get off of the trail. After 20 minutes of misery i was lifted out of the park via ATV and sent via ambulance to the hospital. They ran every test on me thinking i had major damage. I ended up with just major trauma to the rib area, shoulder and back. II got lucky with just a month or 2 of rehab.Always wear protection. I wore a DOT approved helmet that saved my life. Always stop riding if you don’t feel comfortable!
