Are you alive?
Lol did baby boy hurt his vagina?
Is no-one going to comment on the cyclists disregard for the pedestrians?
Because if he had braked when he saw them…like a motorist would…he
would have been going slow enough to avoid the collision. I am not
absolving the motorist, but I suspect the cyclist was hidden behind the
pedestrians which were crossing the road. Given that they were there the
motorist probably thought it was safe to turn.
However, old speedy boy proved that to be wrong. Question. Who was in pain
most. the cyclist or the car? I didn’t hear a squeak from the car. Ride
defensively like bikers do. The city doesn’t owe you a seamless journey
from A to B.
He was going far to fast what is the breaking distance of his cycle i bet
the dangerous twat dont know he deserves everythinghe got it might teach
him lesson
I’ve got to say it, both parties in the wrong, more so the cyclist, (yes I
am a cyclist check my 1vid channel on that) the cyclist was approaching a
junction with intent to go straight on, when peds stepped out, fair enough
peds are stupid, but never blast through a junction directly after a
strange road manouvre, especially with cars queued up to go across your
path, always assume the driver will be an asshole , not saying give way,
I’m saying ride at a speed you can stop at safely through junctions. Always
assume the other guy doesn’t know what he’s doing.
this situation presents itself all the time when you cycle narrow roads in
the city, the cyclist should have been more cautious… he/she was cycling
waaay too fast, the woman crossing the road almost had to jump out of the
way…
The driver is at fault. Clearly. But all cyclists should take heed of the
video. If you chose to ride at top speed though urban areas, especially on
approach to junctions you are significantly increasing your chances of an
accident. You don’t get to point the finger at someone else when you’re
dead.
The car had a clear line of sight at the point he made the turn – he
clearly thought the same thing the pedestrians did – “Oh it’s only a bike,
I’ll make a dart for it”
those 2 folks who cross the street is also at fault too
The driver is 100% at fault. He doesn’t even stop moving when the cyclist
is right in front of him. Clearly not looking at all. However, with the
benefit of not being there and being able to watch the video after the
event, I would also say that at that speed I would be cycling in primary
position, ie in the centre of the lane and not in the too narrow cycle
lane, also I think I would have been easing off the speed on approach to
the junction. You can see the cars in front slowing and starting to queue.
Looks like maybe the cyclist was distracted by the peds crossing in front
and hadn’t noticed the cars slowing down in front.
I am in no way blaming the cyclist here, but we can all learn from these
incidents, think about what has happened and adapt our riding. Having been
knocked off myself recently I know I would much rather have avoided it if
possible! Get well soon.
totally the drivers fault, even if there were no predestrions he still
would of got hit. bloody people in box’s with horse blinkers on
Zero fault on your behalf. Pedestrians failed to yield at a signal to do so
and the driver failed to observe the road. I highly suspect the driver saw
you coming and thought’d he be able to quickly dart across. I hope you have
reported this to the police.
People have mentioned your speed: You were below the speed limit for this
road and the right to go “straight on”.
Very simple, the cunt decided he was only cycling at 10 mph!!
