I heard there were nine million bicycles in Beijing…
Fun fact: Kirkpatrick Macmillan is a distant relative of mine, pretty cool
to know that.
how can there be only 1 000 000 000 bikes? it must be more like 10 000 000
000 since i think on average ppl got more than 1 bike. in fact i dont know
of anybody who had less than 1 bike in his whole live…
Back in the day when i started commuting by bike, get ready for the maths.
I weighed 82kg
Bike weighed 8kg
By the end of the year
I weighed 76kg
Where did the 6kg go ?
My bike now weighs 2kg – is this correct?
What Matt may be the elder statesman of GCN, I think Dan showed his age by
using ‘wizard’ as an adjective!
If you are going to say bikes are better than boats do not show a picture
of a boat with a sail.
Fact 11: GCN were the first cycling show to promise a video on indoor
cycling on Wednesday 18th November and not deliver it! :(
That was clearly a hare on a skateboard, not a rabbit. Sorry guys but this
unprofessional animation will not be tolerated. Got to unsubscribe, it’s
the only way.
Eat the rabbit!
You should set yourself a challenge where anytime you talk about anything
pre 2000s you don’t take the mickey out of Matt!
been commuting for 4 years on my bikes..
You missed out that Browning (yes the guys that make guns) also made a
Browning Automatic Gear System that was a spring loaded front chain set .
where a portion of the outer chain ring also serviced as art of the smaller
chain ring . The section was spring loaded to the smaller chain ring and
slide along runners to fit part of the outer chain ring as you increased
your pedalling speed .
Brilliant stuff!
Now, by the help of the last fact, i became crazier about cycling)) Thanks
guys!! I am your fan here in Samara – Russia))
You two remind me of the two old guys in the Muppets.
Fun fact: Of the 1 billion bikes in that survey, 600 million have since
been stolen.
you guys really do have a great sense of humour
