When I hear “Winter”, images of ice, snow and -20C weather come to mind. On
the video we see a regular summers day. Maybe sometime make a video on how
to deal with proper winter wonderland?
Where do you ride?? UK??
Did he say 15 miles in under an hour?
I’d love to see a GCN video on how to stay in shape for riders who
experience real winters! i.e.: us Canadians. Winter proofing is useless in
a meter or more of snow negative 10-15 celsius, which encompasses December
– February! Realistically we have 2-3 weeks of moderately cold riding left
at 0-10 degrees celsius, not to mention impending salt and road treatments
for winter drivers that make cycling impossible. How can we ensure that
when we mount our bikes in the spring we are not faced with a huge wall, in
terms of fitness, to climb. Thanks GCN!
Waterproof winter socks Seal Skins or Dex Shell.
Look! For the first 20 seconds Matt’s riding no handed!
Felt like I was watching a really bad 80’s music video with Matt spinning
around in front of a green screen… wonder where he got his inspiration
from…
Brace yourselves, winter is coming!
Nice off the back Matt
my goal would be to just ride across town…. no time limit…. and not
freeze my ass off,… and not get killed/hurt….
Greenscreen!~
When Matt doesn’t need to clip-in, he descends quicker than Si and Dan on a
wheelchair! Next year’s GCN Presenters’ Race!
Looks like Dan’s banana skills are paying the bills!!!
You don’t have to ride in the rain, and you don’t have to get wet. That’s
what trainers are for. A 90 minute trainer workout is just as good for you
as a 2-1/2 hour rain ride because of the intensity that is hard to do in
the rain. An exception to this is that Category 2 (and above) riders have
to get in those three hour tempo rides, no matter what the weather is
doing. For “human” riders, and racers down on the food chain, a trainer
workout, or even an occasional “off day” works out better.
will you be doing a studio tour?
Please do another cross series
Was I the only one waiting for Matt to spin once too often in the same
direction and go base-over-apex? ?
where is the snow?
