Plants, for the win!
Nice video and some excellent tips, bought my first bike last night and did
a steady 10 mile ride. Just need to build fitness up
+*IRONMAN* Good news!
Great video! Can you also do this with a heart rate monitor? Because I dont
have a powermeter, and I just started cycling so I dont want to spend 600,-
on a powermeter.
Great feed back and tips for getting into racing ???? will have a go at
different stuff and see what this 260 what’s is all about thanks dude
Thanks for the shout back ????????????
+Richard Perry No problem. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for this video. All the best to you!
Exercise…… get off the couch…. get outside……. do
something……ride a bicycle or go for a walk. Some cities and states
encourage bikes………. they provide safe walking and biking lanes and
trails. Cities also should encourage businesses and apartments to provide
safe places to lock or store a bicycle. Encourage your elected officials to
do more. Speak up.. become an advocate for bicycle use in your city.

Every school should encourage children to walk to school or ride a bicycle
by providing safe places to lock and store bicycles and by supporting safe
walking and biking paths that connect schools, homes and businesses. Kids
would be healthier and get more exercise if parents stop driving them to
school and bought them a bicycle.
Really good video and advice. I was already subscribed, I have to sit down
and watch all your videos! Liked! :D
+Peach Mango Moon Thanks for watching! I enjoy making them and interacting
with people like you.
What are the things that you wish you knew before you started cycling?
+Andréas Remis Sounds like a reasonable plan. Thanks for watching!
+Plant-Based Cyclist Thanks for the input. I want to commute by bicycle so
maybe starting with a lower tier bike that I can commute with would be
good. I really like the idea of just having one bike tho, putting all of
my marbles into one bucket, so to say. I am also monitoring a hip injury
(labrum, hurt while doing side splits) so I don’t want to buy a bike and
then need surgery or something!! Lets see how this plays out. Looking
forward to more of your videos!
+Andréas Remis Yeah, buying a bike is a big decision. My first bike was a
Trek 1200 Aluminum Road bike with 105 and Tiagra components and it lasted
me for 8 years. Bought it new for about $850. If I were you, just getting
into cycling, I would buy a lower tier bike. Ride the hell out of it,
maintain it and get as many years as you can out of it. And then, after 2-4
years, re-evaluate your interest level in cycling. If it’s higher and you
love it, treat yourself to a nicer bike…if it’s about the same and you
don’t see yourself riding more, keep it.
+Plant-Based Cyclist I did that yesterday. They have a 2015 Cannondale
Synapse Carbon 105 for $2300. That means my bike package, including
everything I need, will be around $3000. I am wondering if maybe I should
get a lower tier bike as my first road bike? That way I can use it as a
commuter too? I wont be able to commute with the Synapse because of theft
risk. Hmmm. Or I could just put the money from the cheap bike into the
Synapse… Really tough decisions for me right now!!
+Andréas Remis I would say right now. Bike SHops are trying to get rid of
their old 2014 bikes to make room for 2015. I would walk in and chat with
the salesman at your local bike shop.
260 whats?
I am also plant based and my bike arrives tomorrow =) Starting off as a
commute hopefully I don’t get too hooked, don’t have time to run and ride!
