i just eat when i’m hungry.
Good perspective. There’s no EASY answer. What are your goals ?
I’ve been really starving after rides lately. I try to eat enough during a
ride but generally prefer not to eat much. Usually a half a PB&J every hour
or two and water only.
Probably some truth in this but viewers should be critical of YouTube
gurus. So much bs out here in regards to nutrition. Even the academic peer
reviewed papers get over thrown all the time in this field so the average
YouTube/internet article should be ignored by default. Or at least taken
with a sack of salt.
Great video!! Always look forward to videos and podcasts.Thank you.
I totally agree with everything. I use different techniques as well. Also,
I don’t focus on the weight loss, I focus on fat loss. Although I’ve lost
4% body fat, I’ve gained 8 pounds. So to me, weight isn’t a goal at all.
It’s fat loss, endurance and power.
thank you. :)
I prefer to eat a big breakfast (oatmeal, peanut butter on toasts, banana
smoothie, pineapple juice etc.) before long rides, as long as i leave 1
hour for digestion it works great for me. I have a hard time feeding while
riding, i won’t feel hungry until about 3 to 4 hrs into it…and if i
forgot to eat anything i’ll pay for it and it sucks big time.
Heh, i’m a skinny dude and i got into road cycling because of my love of
cycling and the sense of speed. I don’t want to loose weight (obviously)
but instead gain power and fitness. I’ve been riding for almost a year now
but i’m still unsure of how to be effective with food pre-ride, during and
post-ride.
Awesome video. Very balanced view point and informative :)
Nice video !
I agree with you, nice video!

Summing up this video – everyone has different goals, everyone’s body is
different, diets vary day to day.
